It’s 3 days after the 4th of July Holiday here in America and I’m just now getting around to sharing the photo I captured in the holiday spirit (bad bad Chapo). The social media gods are not going to favor me for that!
In all honesty, I didn’t head out with the intention to capture a photograph to share on Independence Day. One of my good friends and I went out shooting together so that I could show him some tips and techniques that I practice as well as get him familiar using his camera. ISO, aperture, shutter speed, etc…I feel like it was a successful evening of getting shots in.
Of course always when out shooting a photographers eye is whirling and whizzing like Mad Eye Moody (if you know, you know). We came across a few spots that made for some nice pictures, a few I haven’t got around to editing yet, also came across a nice restaurant that I plan to check out in the near future. A Mediterranean cuisine place and I love some Mediterranean food!
A little further along into shooting, I approached the King + Spaulding building in Midtown, first thing I noticed is that it was lit up in the colors of the American Flag. Obviously in recognition of Independence Day, so I knew then I had to get this photo, second thing I noticed was the Lamborghini truck and the American Flag perfectly positioned in a way where I could frame this picture with everything aligned well. I normally don’t photograph cars but I decided why not, it went well together, even more so with the Lambo being white with red accents.
I shot the photo in S-LOG3 profile, to have dynamic range of data when editing, overall I was happy with the outcome and I hope you enjoyed the story behind this photo!
